Park Your Truck (PYT) is launching a secured truck parking facility with two charging points at the Neufahrn motorway interchange near Munich. This marks the beginning of PYT’s nationwide rollout of Truck Charging Hubs under the brand name “Charge Your Truck.” According to forecasts by the National Organisation Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology (NOW), by 2029, more heavy-duty vehicles with battery-electric drivetrains will be sold than those powered by diesel engines.
Battery electric trucks and other commercial vehicles can currently charge at 150 kW each in Eching. The electricity is sourced from a green electricity provider and an on-site photovoltaic system covers part of the load.
“We are developing areas that are already sealed in order to create urgently needed parking spaces for trucks – an environmentally and climate-friendly business model that curbs land consumption,” says Denise Schuster, CEO and founder of Park Your Truck. “It is therefore only logical to give the parking spaces a further benefit for climate protection: With fast-charging stations and other facilities in our truck parking lots, we are helping to put zero-emission heavy-duty vehicles on the road. This makes us a pioneer in Germany and beyond.”
The new fast-charging station in Eching is open to the public and has so far been used by freight forwarder Elflein as an anchor customer. The e-trucks that charge in Eching are used to drive tours for a Munich-based car manufacturer.

The inauguration ceremony on June 25, 2024, in Eching was attended by customers, investors, partners, and the board of directors, supervisory board, and management of Park Your Truck’s parent company, enerlog AG. Ministerial Director Dr Klaus-Peter Potthast, Head of the Department for Economic Policy, Coordination and Industry at the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, was also present.
“With this investment, enerlog AG is making a key contribution to resolving the double chicken-and-egg problem—the lack of charging infrastructure slows down the mobility transformation in logistics and transport, while the absence of battery-electric trucks questions the economic viability of charging stations,” said Wolrad Claudy, CEO of enerlog AG.
Following the Eching project, truck parking facilities in Ingolstadt and Wolfsburg are next in line. In the long term, Park Your Truck plans to equip a significant portion of its 300 parking locations across Europe for climate-friendly heavy-duty transport. In addition to fast-charging points and overnight charging stations with lower output, the company aims to implement on-site renewable energy generation and storage. If needed, fueling stations for bio-LNG, e-fuels, and hydrogen will also be established.
